Begin jaren tachtig schuwde een kleine groep toegewijde headbangers uit de Bay Area de hardrock van MTV- en Hollywood-hairspraybands ten gunste van een gevaarlijker soort metal dat bekend werd als thrash! Van het tape-handelsnetwerk tot de clubs, de platenwinkels en fanzines: regisseur Adam Dubin onthult hoe de scène de muziek voedde en de muziek een beweging voortbracht. Murder In The Front Row wordt verteld aan de hand van krachtige getuigenissen uit de eerste persoon en verbluffende animaties en fotografie. De film is een sociale studie van een groep jonge mensen die de kansen trotseren en iets essentieels voor zichzelf opbouwen. Met interviews met Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus, Testament, Death Angel, Possessed en nog veel meer! Verteld door Brian Posehn.
